2018 Shiraz – gold medal

This late maturing, cool climate Shiraz was picked by hand from our tiny vineyard. Once picked the grapes were hand plunged in open vats and left with minimal intervention to mature in old French oak barrels. The 2018 Shiraz is a wonderfully complex wine with deep colour and an intense fruit flavour with blackberries and chocolate combined with spicy oak and elegant soft tannins.

Try Our Wine!

Our small vineyard has deep red granite soils that produce strong, healthy vines. Cool catabatic winds from the alps help to moderate the hot summer days and prolong the ripening of the grapes, perfect for developing the complexity and flavour of the fruit. You can also try our wine at the wonderful Tatong Tavern or purchase it from the Swanpool Store in Swanpool.

The Davison coat of arms on the label gives a nod to my father’s long held interest in sharing and collecting wine and his encouragement in our wine growing efforts.
