Swanpool Creek B&B and Vineyard

This is a place to find solace in gardens and nature. We offer comfortable accommodation if you are travelling as a couple, as a family, on your own or for work. Bookings are for two nights or more, but why not stay longer to truly relax and unwind.  On our farm we have a small vineyard and we sell limited release Swanpool Creek Wine. Our Shiraz consistently wins medals at local and international wine shows.

About Us

SPEND SOME TIME WITH US

Swanpool Creek farm is situated among the open rolling hills and picturesque valleys of the Upper Broken River with views of Mt Samaria and the Strathbogie Ranges.  A small working farm on the Red Gum lined banks of Swanpool Creek with a vineyard (Shiraz and Chardonnay grapes), extensive gardens, sheep and lambs and a timber plantation. It is a perfect place for a romantic weekend; central for exploring scenic North-East Victoria and a good point to break a trip between Melbourne and Sydney or Canberra or on the way to Mount Buller. A great getaway for the family with children.  Dogs are most welcome too.

Stay with us

Wake up to a chorus of singing songbirds and views of the beautiful gardens and mountains beyond. You have your own comfortable bedroom, private ensuite and breakfast room. A continental breakfast is included and features local produce with freshly baked bread, home made blackberry and other jams, fruit,  cereals, fresh juice, tea and coffee. A second adjoining bedroom with two single beds can be booked for families. Friendly dogs are welcome….

Try our award winning Shiraz

Our Shiraz has won Gold, Sliver and Bronze medals at the International Cool Climate Wine Show and the North East Victorian Wine Challenge. It’s grown in our small vineyard which has lovely deep, red, free-draining granite soils (perfect if you are a vine!). In the height of summer, cool katabatic winds come down from the alps in the evening and prolong the ripening of the grapes. This gives them plenty of time to develop their complex, full fruit, red berry  flavour. The north-westerly aspect is also ideal for our early ripening Chardonnay grapes.

Spend some time

Swanpool Creek is the perfect place to rest and relax, but if you’d like to explore the area, we would be delighted to share our insights and help with bookings.  You can try hot air ballooning, husky sled rides, white water rafting, a local vineyard tour, catch up with a white lion or have a relaxed lunch at the Tatong Tavern. There is so much to see and do.

Great little retreat if you need to get away fro city life for a few days. The gardens are fantastic to wander through, and it’s only a 15 minute drive to town if you need anything.

Lovely place and garden! Big Big thanks to Jessica and Michael for looking after our dog. Both our dogs and us had a great time here! Definitely will come back if visiting this area again.

The Stars!! At night, with almost zero light pollution, we enjoyed viewing the expanse of our galaxy and the magnificent display of the Milky Way! The farm is rustic with wonderful horses to speak to and sneak apples!  We explored the King Valley and towns about the area. Wonderful spot to connect with nature, especially birds.
